Orion Select is a solo counseling practice. Your first call and every session are with Jonathan, so you can ask him directly about the next available appointment before deciding what to do.

Some people arrive knowing exactly what they want to work on. Others only know that something is off. Both are a fine place to start.
Anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder are the three I see most, and the three I have the deepest set of tools for.
Also treated: panic, trauma and PTSD, grief and loss, anger, stress and burnout, self-esteem, ADHD, alcohol and drug use, co-occurring disorders, gambling, codependency, relationship difficulty, family conflict, life transitions, sports performance, and questions of faith and meaning.
For teens, adults, and older adults. Weekly or every-other-week sessions built around what you want to change. Cognitive behavioral therapy for thoughts that will not let go, dialectical behavior therapy skills for distress that outruns thinking, exposure and response prevention for checking and intrusive thoughts, and motivational interviewing for the part of you that is not sure yet.
Available anywhere in Pennsylvania. Secure video sessions from a private place at home or work. Jonathan is board certified in telemental health and has provided online counseling across Pennsylvania since 2017.
For pre-licensed counselors. Individual and group supervision hours for license-eligible counselors working toward Pennsylvania LPC status, with particular depth in co-occurring disorders and substance use.
For students and working adults. This is for the point where the question is less about symptoms and more about direction. Ten years inside a college career office informs this one: strengths, real options, and a plan you would actually follow.
You describe what is going on in your own words. I tell you honestly whether I am the right counselor for it. No charge, no obligation.
Seventy-five to ninety minutes to talk through your history, what you want to be different, and a treatment plan you shape together.
Fifty-five minute sessions at a pace you set, with practical tools between them rather than homework for its own sake.
The treatment plan gets revisited out loud, not filed away. If something is not helping, we change it.

I have worked with adolescents and young adults for more than 25 years, including ten years at Juniata College. After 14 years in independent practice, I now work with teens, adults, and older adults.
My starting point is person-centered. You are the one who knows your life. What I add is structure: cognitive behavioral therapy for the thoughts that will not let go, dialectical behavior therapy skills for distress that arrives faster than you can think, exposure and response prevention for obsessive-compulsive patterns, and motivational interviewing when part of you wants to change and part of you does not.
If you know you want something to be different but cannot yet name what it is, that is a good enough reason to call.
